Printer in Alarm
When the printer alarms and neither the ribbon holder nor paper tray will come out.
Do not force them out.
Manually return the printer mechanism to the home position.
- Turn OFF the printer
- Remove chassis cover
- Remove shield over thermal head assembly
- Locate cam on the left side of the printer mechanism
- Use a small flat screw driver to slowly rotate cam until the thermal head assembly begins to rise
- When head is up as far as it will travel, try to remove ribbon holder. If successful, remove paper tray.
- Remove any jammed paper
- Turn ON the printer. The LCD display, after the initial start, should display No Ribbon, No Paper
- Install a new print pack (paper and ribbon)
- Capture video image and print
- Replace cover and shield
- Run 25-50 prints for final test
